Roofing Turtle, a locally-owned roofing and repair company serving Bastrop and the surrounding areas, is now offering new products and services to their customers, including fortified shingles, solar shingles and home maintenance. After adding them to a house in Smithville, Roofing Turtle installed the first fortified shingles in Bastrop County, and the fifth in central Texas, according to owner Alan Butler. These fortified roof shingles are fire-resistant and hail-resistant, have a 50-year warranty and the manufacturer will pay 100 percent of labor and materials to fix if anything is wrong with the shingles for 15 year
